Service Description
A scan to confirm the location of the gestational sac, and presence of yolk sac. This will start as an abdominal scan, but includes an internal (transvaginal) scan if needed. Typical confirmation scans are less than 7 weeks and therefore the heartbeat cannot normally be visualised reliably at this stage of pregnancy, which is normal. This is a scan on the tummy, and you will need a full bladder for this, as it makes the image much clearer. The scan includes a report of our findings.
Cancellation Policy
Deposits are non refundable. If you are less than 6 weeks we can check that the gestation sac is in the uterus and not ectopic, we may not see a heartbeat, which is normal for this stage. If you have booked over the phone, your deposit will not show on your confirmation but we have recorded it in our diary
